How to Find and Beat Giovanni on Pokémon Go

Giovanni appears only during special Rocket research missions. These research missions change every few months. From September 2025, the mission became available. The mission name is Psychic Spectacular: Taken Over.

You must defeat all Team GO Rocket leaders. These leaders are Arlo, Cliff, and Sierra. After defeating them, you receive Super Rocket Radar. This radar helps locate Giovanni’s hiding place.

Giovanni appears at invaded PokéStops or balloons. Many encounters will be decoy grunts first. Keep checking locations until Giovanni finally appears.
