Instagram is reportedly going to launch a new not interested button to mark the posts that you are not interested in. According to the reports the company had to take this decision in answer to the criticism faced for pushing a large number of irrelevant video clips in users’ Insta feeds.
The report mentions that its parent company Meta announced about two new ways to fix this issue. One is the new button added in its setting section, which will let you select multiple posts and mark them as not interested. This will block that post and even the related contents similar to the post won’t show up in your explore tab.

The second way Instagram is reportedly developing to solve this issue is another feature. In this, you can select certain words, phrases, or emojis in the caption or hashtags of the post that you don’t want to see. The company mentioned that you can use this feature to stop seeing content that does not interest you. This will also stop the suggested posts to appear.
At present, you can click on a particular post that will flag it. The company also provides a feature that lets you snooze the suggested post for 30 days. After this update, you will be able to flag multiple video posts at once. This update will also enable you to quickly stop seeing the suggested post in a few simple steps.

You can hide the suggestions from your timeline with the ‘x’ button. This feature is currently in the process of testing. As per the news reports the platform will soon launch the new not interested button that will let you choose the content you want to see on the platform.
