WhatsApp is working on a quick reactions feature for status updates on beta Android Devices. The platform has submitted this update through the Google Play Beta Program with this update the current version reaches 2.22.16.10. In this update, the platform is reportedly tweaking the ability to react to your status.

After rolling out the message reactions feature to everyone the platform is developing the reactions feature for WhatsApp’s status update also. The platform continuously works towards more improvements in the functionality of the app. In this latest version of the popular messenger, the WhatsApp dev team is adding something interesting to your status updates.

WhatsApp’s quick reactions feature

In a previous report by WABetaInfo posted three months back the news portal reported about quick replies. This new under-development feature enables you to react to status updates with some emojis. This feature was first noticed while it was being developed for the WhatsApp desktop app.

In this current beta update, the Meta-owned platform is finally working to bring the same feature to Android devices. The leading WhatsApp news portal has also released a screenshot of the feature. The screenshot reveals that the company is adding eight emojis to use as reactions to status updates.

As seen the introduced emojis are – Smily face with heart eyes, Tears of joy face, open mouth face, crying face emoji, folded hands, clapping hands, party popper emoji, and Hundred points emoji. According to the report after you respond to a status update the particular emoji you responded with is sent to the recipient. The report further mentions that the reaction will appear as a status reply inside the chat.

As mentioned earlier this quick reactions feature is currently under development process. So it is not ready to be released to beta testers. The final release date is also currently not known.
