WhatsApp is rolling out a new ‘Select Chats – Default Message Timer’ feature for beta Android users. The platform has submitted this update through the Google Play Beta Program with this update, the current version reaches up to 2.22.16.8. With this roll out some select beta testers will be able to set multiple chats to disappear at once.

The Meta-owned Instant Messaging platform is popularly known for testing and bringing new features regularly. WhatsApp’s Select Chats – Default Message Timer feature

In a previous article on WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.11.11 update, WABetaInfo reported about the default message timer feature. The leading WhatsApp news portal posted that this update automatically sets the new chats as disappearing threads with the first sent or received message.

Most of you probably already know about this. With this latest update, the popular messenger is rolling out a new shortcut within the settings of the same feature. However, the report mentions that currently, this new setting will be available only to certain beta testers.

The leading WhatsApp news source has also attached a screenshot of the feature along with its report. The screenshot reveals that now you can apply a message timer to set multiple chats to disappear at once. You will find this shortcut within the default message timer settings of your WhatsApp privacy settings.

As seen in the notification of the timer settings the three blue words are marked with an arrow written: “By selecting them”. This clearly means that you can now quickly set multiple chats to disappearing threads. So, when you apply the ‘Select Chats – Default Message Timer feature’ all new messages of these chats will automatically be set to disappear.
