WhatsApp working on new end-to-end indicators
The Independent WhatsApp news portal WABetaInfo posted an article three months back in which it announced that WhatsApp was working on a minor tweak that informs users that their status updates and calls are end-to-end encrypted. The report further mentioned that this feature ensures users that neither WhatsApp nor its Parent company Meta, can read or listen to their updates and calls.
In this recent beta update, there is still no detailed information on when this change will come to people. But there is information on some new additions. As seen in the screenshot released by the leading WhatsApp news portal, WhatsApp is planning to introduce the same visible cue which states that your chats are end-to-end encrypted.
This will be visible at the bottom of your chat list. This was expected earlier because according to the reports the platform also plans to add a new footer message which will contain the end-to-end indicators information below your chats. As this feature is currently under development process it will be available in a future update of WhatsApp beta for desktop.
As WhatsApp chats are private it seems the company really aims to introduce these labels to remind users that their chats are fully secure. The report further adds that this feature is also expected on WhatsApp beta for Android in a future version. To discover more news and real-time updates about WhatsApp be sure to follow us.
