WhatsApp is working on a new chat transfer feature for beta Android users. The previous day the Meta-owned company submitted WhatsApp beta for the Android 2.23.1.25 update. In this, you get the ability to switch to a new Android mobile without the need to back up your chat history on Google drive.

This current beta update brings some additional details on the functionality of this feature. The leading WhatsApp new portal WABetaInfo has shared a screenshot of the feature in which you can have a look at how the process of moving your conversation to a new Android device will take place in the future.

As the popular instant messaging platform is still developing the chat transfer feature, it is rolling out WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.1.26 update that will build on the feature. The revealed image by the WhatsApp news source shows that you can get started by downloading the app on the Android device to which you want to move your chat history.

After you open the app on your new mobile, you will see a new QR code. You need to scan this code to start the process of migrating your chat history to your new Android device. WhatsApp chat transfer process will reportedly make it easier for you to simply transfer the chat history. It is because you don’t have to waste your time backing up and then again downloading the important chat files.

According to the report, this process will be useful to those who want to transfer their chats and media on another phone without backing up on Google drive. Along with being an easy process it also works much faster.

However, the chat transfer feature is currently under development process so it is not available to beta testers. Once it is ready the platform will roll it out in a future update of the app. Notably, at present, this feature will only be applicable to Android users. This means files from one Android device to another Android device can only be transferred.

There is no news on the final release date of the chat transfer feature. But as there is any update, you will know through a new post on our website.
